وَعَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ‏:‏ مَا مِنْ مَرَضٍ يُصِيبُنِي أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ مِنَ الْحُمَّى، لأَنَّهَا تَدْخُلُ فِي كُلِّ عُضْوٍ مِنِّي، وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُعْطِي كُلَّ عُضْوٍ قِسْطَهُ مِنَ الأَجْرِ‏.‏

Abu Hurayrah said that he did not like any illness more than fever because it went into each of his limbs. And, Allah grants each limb its share of reward.

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Someone who eats with his servant, rides a donkey in the markets, and ties up his sheep and milks it is not proud."

حَدَّثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الأَصَمِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ‏:‏ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ‏:‏ أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا دَعَانِي‏.‏

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said that Allah Almighty said, "I am according to My slave's opinion of Me, and I am with him when He calls on Me.'"

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ وَغَيْرِهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ سَأَلَ ابْنُ الْكَوَّا عَلِيًّا عَنِ الْمَجَرَّةِ، قَالَ‏:‏ هُوَ شَرَجُ السَّمَاءِ، وَمِنْهَا فُتِحَتِ السَّمَاءُ بِمَاءٍ مُنْهَمِرٍ‏.‏

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَ‏:‏ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَقُولُ لأَخٍ لَهُ صَغِيرٍ‏:‏ أَرْدِفِ الْغُلاَمَ، فَأَبَى، فَقَالَ لَهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ‏:‏ بِئْسَ مَا أُدِّبْتَ، قَالَ قَيْسٌ‏:‏ فَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُ‏:‏ دَعْ عَنْكَ أَخَاكَ‏.‏

Qays said, "I heard Mu'awiya say to a young brother of his, 'Mount your slave behind you.' He refused. Mu'awiya said to him, 'How badly you have been taught!' I heard Abu Sufyan say, 'leave your brother alone.'"

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad · Book 36 · Hadith 868

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُبَارَكٌ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ، أَنَّ الأَسْوَدَ بْنَ سَرِيعٍ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ‏:‏ كُنْتُ شَاعِرًا فَقُلْتُ‏:‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، امْتَدَحْتُ رَبِّي، فَقَالَ‏:‏ أَمَا إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يُحِبُّ الْحَمْدَ، وَمَا اسْتَزَادَنِي عَلَى ذَلِكَ‏.‏

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلاَلٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ‏:‏ مَرَّ رَجُلٌ مُصَابٌ عَلَى نِسْوَةٍ، فَتَضَاحَكْنَ بِهِ يَسْخَرْنَ، فَأُصِيبَ بَعْضُهُنَّ‏.‏

'A'isha said, "A man suffering from an affliction passed by some women and they laughed together, mocking him, and so one of them got that same affliction."

حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ قَالَ‏:‏ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ‏:‏ عَطَسَ رَجُلاَنِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَشَمَّتَ أَحَدَهُمَا، وَلَمْ يُشَمِّتِ الْآخَرَ، فَقَالَ‏:‏ شَمَّتَّ هَذَا وَلَمْ تُشَمِّتْنِي‏؟‏ قَالَ‏:‏ إِنَّ هَذَا حَمِدَ اللَّهَ، وَلَمْ تَحْمَدْهُ‏.‏

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ‏:‏ خَدِرَتْ رِجْلُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ‏:‏ اذْكُرْ أَحَبَّ النَّاسِ إِلَيْكَ، فَقَالَ‏:‏ يَا مُحَمَّدُ‏.‏

'Abdu'r-Rahman ibn Sa'd said, "Ibn 'Umar's foot went to sleep and a man said to him, 'Mention the person you love most.' He said, 'Muhammad.'"
