Hadith 926 a — Sahih Muslim | Quran & Hadees
Arabic حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ - حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الصَّبْرُ عِنْدَ الصَّدْمَةِ الأُولَى " .
English translation Anas b. Malik reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Endurance is to be shown at the first blow.
