وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْعَوَّامِ - حَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ زِرَّ بْنَ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ، عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ‏{‏ فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى‏}‏ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَأَى جِبْرِيلَ لَهُ سِتُّمِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ ‏.‏

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ ‏{‏ مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَى‏}‏ قَالَ رَأَى جِبْرِيلَ - عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ - لَهُ سِتُّمِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ ‏.‏

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه – ‏{‏لَقَدْ رَأَى مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِ الْكُبْرَى‏}‏ قَالَ رَأَى رَفْرَفًا أَخْضَرَ سَدَّ أُفُقَ السَّمَاءِ‏.‏

Narrated `Abdullah: Regarding the Verse: "Indeed he (Muhammad) did see. Of the Signs of his Lord, The Greatest!" (53.18) That the Prophet (ﷺ) had seen a green carpet spread all over the horizon of the sky.
