Hadith 1787
The Book of the Prohibited actions · Undesirability of Rejecting the Gift of Perfume
- وعن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان لا يرد الطيب” ((رواه البخاري)).
Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) never refused a gift of perfume. [Al- Bukhari].

- عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : “من عرض عليه ريحان، فلا يرده، فإنه خفيف المحمل طيب الريح" ((رواه مسلم)).
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who is presented with a flower of sweet basil should not reject it, because it is light in weight and pleasant in odour." [Muslim].
