Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I was playing with the boys when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ came to us and greeted us with salām. Yazīd added in his narration: “greeted us.” He took me by the hand and sent me on an errand, and sat in the shade of a wall until I returned to him and conveyed the message he had entrusted me with. When I went back to [my mother] Umm Sulaym she asked, “What kept you?” I said, “The Prophet (ﷺ) ﷺ sent me on an errand.” She asked, “What was it?” I said, “It is a secret.” She said, “Keep the secret of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ.” And I never told anyone about it after that.
