حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ طَهْمَانَ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ الْمُعَلِّمِ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ كَانَ بِي النَّاصُورُ فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ صَلِّ قَائِمًا. فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ فَقَاعِدًا. فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ، فَعَلَى جَنْبٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

English translation

It was narrated that ‘Imran bin Husain said: “I suffered from Nasur* and I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about prayer. He said: ‘Perform prayer standing; if you cannot, then sitting; and if you cannot then while lying on your side.’”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَيَانٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ الأَزْرَقُ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَرِيزٍ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ صَلَّى جَالِسًا عَلَى يَمِينِهِ وَهُوَ وَجِعٌ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Wa’il bin Hujr said: “I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) performing prayer while sitting on his right side when he was sick.”
