The Book of Purification and its Sunnah · What was narrated of the prohibition for the one holding urine or stool from praying
Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ إِدْرِيسَ الأَوْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " لاَ يَقُومُ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ وَبِهِ أَذًى " .
English translation
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, 'No one of you should stand to pray when he feels some discomfort (because of needing to urinate or defecate).'"
