It was narrated that Hisham bin 'Amir said:
"On the day of Uhud the people were exhausted. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Dig graves and make them wide, and bury two or three in a grave.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, who should we 'put in first? He said: 'Put in first the one who knew the Qur'an most."'
It was narrated from Sa'd bin Hisham bin 'Amir that his father said:
"Many people were wounded on the day of Uhud and complaints were made to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about that. He said: 'Dig graves and make them good…
It was narrated from Hisham bin 'Amir that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"Dig graves and dig them well, and bury two or three (together), and put in first the one who knew the Qur'an most."
