Sunan an-Nasa'i · Book 13 · Hadith 1359

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ كَيْفَ أَنْصَرِفُ إِذَا صَلَّيْتُ عَنْ يَمِينِي، أَوْ عَنْ يَسَارِي، قَالَ أَمَّا أَنَا فَأَكْثَرُ، مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ‏.‏

It was narrated that As-Suddi said: "I asked Anas bin Malik: 'How should I leave after I have prayed- to the right or to the left?' He said: 'I usually saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) leave to the right.'

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، أَنَّ مَكْحُولاً، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ مَسْرُوقَ بْنَ الأَجْدَعِ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَشْرَبُ قَائِمًا وَقَاعِدًا وَيُصَلِّي حَافِيًا وَمُنْتَعِلاً وَيَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ ‏.‏

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) drink standing and sitting, and he prayed barefoot and with sandals, and he left (after prayer) to the right and to the left."
